Unison Industries introduces new GE90/CF6 EGT sensor

Apr 11, 2018

Jacksonville, FL, April 10, 2018 — Unison Industries has announced a new Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) sensor certified for use on all GE90 series and CF6-80C/-80A platforms. Operators and MROs can now upgrade to the new OEM-preferred Unison EGT design.

The enhanced EGT probe is designed for two-way interchangeability with the existing EGT probe. It connects with current harnesses for easy plug-and-play installation. A new lug design prevents the troublesome issue of cross-threading. In addition, an improved coating on the lower housing permits a much easier and faster removal of the EGT probe, improving durability while saving the operator time and reducing scrap.

“At Unison, we are passionate about advancing technology and thinking outside the engine,” said Tom Hoferer, President of Unison Industries. “Our engineers designed and tested the new EGT probe to meet strict OEM standards for engine performance. This rigorous effort earned the confidence of the OEM, resulting in the Unison design being deemed the production standard for all new engines moving forward. By constantly investing in reliable new technologies and our customer’s experience, we’ll create value to their bottom line.”
