Jul 16, 2014

Farnborough, UK., July 16, 2014 — Unison Industries announces the launch of an all new solid-state Shockwave Energy Management System that will be used in the healthcare industry.

The system utilizes a patent-pending technology derived from Unison’s proven aero turbine ignition architecture that will significantly increase the efficiency over current healthcare treatments. Along with the shipment of the first shockwave product for testing, Unison has also entered into an exclusive agreement with an undisclosed customer which is valued at more than $35 million.

“This is a great example of how Unison can utilize its rapid prototyping process to deliver to an expanding customer base,” Hari Joshi said, general manager of industrial products for Unison. “The industrial markets will be a significant area of growth for Unison in the coming years and we are excited about this major step to serve a new growth market.”

The Shockwave Energy Management System, employing Unison’s ignition exciter technology, will undergo required FDA testing and is expecting clearance. Unison developed the concept to prototype in only eight months.

In an industry that is technology-driven, Unison was selected to develop the Shockwave Energy Management System because of their longstanding reputation as a leader in developing innovative product solutions that solve customer and industry problems. This is Unison’s first product created for use in the healthcare industry.

According to Giovanni Spitale, president of Unison, “This technology-driven solution marks an innovative development in our strategy by utilizing leading technology in adjacent industrial markets.”
