Turbine Ignition

Systems

Unison Industries offers the most advanced and broadest line of turbine ignition systems and components in the industry. Our ability to engineer and synch all components, streamline the manufacturing and review process, troubleshoot, and provide technical and maintenance services for our customers are unmatched.

It's why we have products flying on virtually every turbine aircraft flying in the free world - and why we are the best choice to create yours.

Turbine Ignition

Exciters

Unison's solid state exciters are the first specifically designed
for "smart" engines. They diagnose ignition systems, then communicate with the most sophisticated FADECs for added reliability and greater safety. Unison exciters are available for virtually any main propulsion or APU engine. All meet or exceed Mil Spec standards. All are qualified by the OEM and are
FAA-PMA approved for direct support to aftermarket customers.

Igniters

Unison builds turbine igniters for aircraft main propulsion engines, auxiliary power units and a wide range of turbine engines for industrial applications. Light turbine igniters are built with induction-fused glass seals to resist high combustor pressures. Tungsten alloys cut thermal wear. Optimized semiconductor geometry and composition resist spark erosion, even in demanding continuous duty service. Unison anti-wear and thermal finishes stand up even under vibration and heat extremes.

Leads

Each Unison ignition lead has the smallest diameter and lightest weight consistent with the application and performance profile. Conductor wires are mated with gold-plated contacts to lower resistance - vital in high-cycle use. Lab tests have shown Unison PT-6 leads transfer at least 15% more energy than others. And Unison meets your more specialized requirements, too, with products like magnesium oxide leads that withstand temperatures up to 1200 degrees Fahrenheit.
