APC Starter-Generators to Power KODIAK Utility Aircraft
JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA, March 20, 2006--
Unison Industries today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Aircraft Parts Corp. (APC), has been selected by Quest Aircraft Company as the starter-generator supplier for the KODIAK aircraft, a 10-seat, single-engine turboprop utility airplane designed to operate within particularly rugged and remote environments. The KODIAK will benefit from the high power output, low life cycle costs and proven reliability of APC's 250-300 amp starter-generators.
"APC's starter-generator gives us the confidence we need to ensure that our aircraft will perform well even in the harshest conditions," said Paul Schaller, Quest Aircraft's Chief Executive Officer. "Reliability and dependability in aircraft components are crucial to the missions for which the KODIAK is designed. We're pleased to add APC as another high-quality supplier to our team."
Quest joins a growing roster of APC's global clients. A leading manufacturer of starter-generators and generator control units, APC's customers include Bell Helicopter, Cessna, Eurocopter, Learjet, Sikorsky, and other aircraft manufacturers.
Manufacturing will take place at APC's Holtsville, N.Y., facility, with deliveries anticipated in the early part of 2006.
