Unison's starter-generator upgrade and exchange programs
JACKSONVILLE, Fla., November 15, 2006 - Unison Industries today announced new starter-generator upgrade and exchange programs that will eliminate the hidden costs and downtime associated with starter-generator overhauls and provide a value-priced upgrade to aircraft operators using competitors' starter-generators.
Unison Starter-Generator Upgrade Program
Aircraft operators who currently own a Goodrich (Lucas) or other non-Unison (or non-Aircraft Parts Corporation) starter-generator may now buy a new upgraded starter-generator from Unison at 43 percent or more off market price. Operators need only send in their old starter-generators, repairable or not, in "as removed" condition, and Unison's distributors will immediately send them a completely new starter-generator with Unison's 1 year or 1,000 hour factory warranty. In addition, all of Unison's upgraded starter-generators include the long-life XL or XL2 brush systems, which can extend no-touch Time Between Overhaul (TBO) for some aircraft.
Unison Starter-Generator Exchange Program
Customers who are ready to overhaul their Unison starter-generators (formerly APC starter-generators) can now exchange them for Unison's ready-to-ship, factory-remanufactured units for less than the cost of many third-party overhauls, and without any of the wait these overhauls require. Customers need only send in their repairable starter-generators in "as removed" condition and Unison's distributors will immediately send them a completely remanufactured unit accompanied by Unison's industry-leading six month or 500 hour factory warranty. Unison offers extremely competitive flat rate prices, with no surprises or charge-backs.
"Unison's starter-generator exchange and upgrade programs offer aircraft operators a fast, cost-effective way to get back to flying," said Fred Sontag, Unison's distribution sales manager. "Our generous warranty packages help Unison's customers get the quality, reliability and service they need."
