Unison To Provide Complete Ignition Systems for Lycoming Engines
JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA, JULY 28, 2005--
Unison Industries recently announced that it has signed a long-term agreement with Lycoming to provide complete piston ignition systems for Lycoming engines. The 3-year agreement is expected to earn approximately $10M.
"This agreement strengthens the close relationship Unison and Lycoming share," said Zou Abdelnour, ignition product line manager. "For years Unison has worked with Lycoming on the development of new products and the continuous improvement of existing products. This agreement reaffirms Lycoming's confidence in the quality and performance of Unison's products."
Lycoming is an operating division of Textron's Avco Corporation subsidiary, specializing in the manufacture and support of piston aircraft engines. More than half of the world's General Aviation fleet -- both rotary-wing and fixed-wing -- is powered by Lycoming piston engines.
