Unison in Jacksonville partners with Hubbard House

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Dec. 8, 2006 - Today Unison Industries announced its intent to partner with Hubbard House, Jacksonville's safe haven for victims of domestic violence. The effort is part of Unison's company-wide focus on making a difference locally by contributing hands-on service and donations to community organizations that benefit cancer research, the education of disadvantage or underserved youth, and children's health and human services.

To kick off its relationship, Unison's manager of plant operations, Adrian Button, recently presented a check for $2,500 to Carol Wagnon, director of development for Hubbard House. Unison's 500 Jacksonville employees will provide year-round support to Hubbard House by donating their time and money to perform tasks such as painting, landscaping, and making interior improvements to the facility to help create a more comfortable and pleasant environment for those it serves. Unison is currently planning a Holiday party for the children served by Hubbard House.

"We are grateful for the many ways Hubbard House makes our community a safer place for women and children in need," said Adrian Button, plant manager Unison - Jacksonville. "By partnering with them, our Jacksonville employees hope to make a difference in the lives of those who are helped by this great organization."

In the past year, Unison employees have made a difference by contributing more than $170,000, performing countless hours of hands-on service, and making donations of food, blood and supplies to qualified organizations in need. Unison's charitable efforts worldwide focus on helping organizations that benefit cancer research, the education of disadvantage or underserved youth, and children's health and human services in order to build stronger, safer and more prosperous communities throughout the world.
