Boeing extends long-term contract with Unison for tubes and ductsJACKSONVILLE, FL, Sept. 5, 2007 - Unison Industries today announced an extension of its long-term contract with The Boeing Company to provide airframe tubing and ducting systems to support the manufacturer's 737, 747, 767 and 777 engine and aircraft assembly lines. In support of these programs Unison will produce approximately 50,000 units annually. "We value Boeing's business and look forward to continuing to supply their aircraft for many years to come," said Paul Theofan, Unison's VP of Marketing and Sales. Unison's tubing and ducting systems will support several Boeing aircraft functions, including: Breathing Oxygen, Potable Water, Environmental Control System, Power Door Operating, Engine Build Up, Flexible Ball Joints and Engine Brackets. Unison will manufacture the tubing, ducting, flex joints and brackets for these systems at its facilities in Ohio, Canada and Thailand. Unison's relationship with Boeing began 15 years ago when the company's Dayton, Ohio operation, then known as Elano Corporation, won a contract for the delivery of GE90 Environmental Control System tubes for use on the 777 aircraft. Since then, the relationship has grown to include airframe tubing and ducting systems for several of Boeing's commercial aircraft and certain military applications. Unison is also participating on two new programs that include several ducts, pipes and brackets that will be used on the new Boeing 747-8 and P-8 Poseidon aircraft.
